The Problem

What makes this hard.

  • Future-fuel readiness is usually a marketing claim with no engineering behind it.
  • The decisions that actually determine whether a plant can burn hydrogen later — combustor selection, materials, safety systems, site layout — are made in the first month and are expensive to reverse.
  • Most developers have never handled hydrogen and cannot advise on it.
